Western Addiction/New Mexican Disaster Squad Split LP

Deluxe colored vinyl reissue on the band's own label, The Rockery. Fresh scans of the original Horsebites art for a sharp and vibrant cover. 168 total pressed.

Here's a split for those, like myself, who still can enjoy a couple songs that are wild, furious and linked to an era when punk was pure and true. Think 80's U.S. hardcore in Government Issue, MDC or maybe even Dag Nasty style. With this one, you can put aside your modern day squeaky clean poppy, emo, screamo or ska-punk-rock and enjoy eight songs of cranking energy.

Orlando's New Mexican Disaster Squad previously had a full-length out in 2003 on A-F Records. This one has three brand new songs by them and a cover of Bad Brains — pounding drumming, blazing guitars and a hardcore voice, somewhat similar to Ian MacKaye's Minor Threat period, but with a Russ Rankin (Good Riddance) edge.

Western Addiction from San Francisco had a 7" on Fat Wreck in 2003. Their cover of Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol" sounds better than the original. Catchy, raging, and built for this brand of music.

Tracklist:

New Mexican Disaster Squad:

  1. It's Called Integrity (1:54)
  2. Social Divorce (1:52)
  3. Porcelain End (3:26)
  4. F.V.K. (1:02)

Western Addiction:

  1. Spider In England (1:34)
  2. When a Good Friend Attacks (1:49)
  3. I Tore My Hands Off In a Combine (1:31)
  4. Rat Patrol (2:15)
